LBC: 5 Regrets: List 5 Pieces You Regret Not Buying When You Had The Chance

This week's topic is one that hits close to home! There are so many pieces that I regret not buying when I had the chance! I'll list them in the order of most to least regretful :')

1. Alice and the Pirates - Little Prince ~My Tiny Horoscope~ Rosé JSK in pink

I chose to buy another print which was released around the same time (The Grace~Hymn of the Departure) because I only wanted to spend money for one release at the time... so many regrets omg, I still crai everytiem ;;

2. Angelic Pretty - Radiant Candlelight JSK in wine

This was just me not paying attention to the LM auction, and I forgot to be online when it was about to end. It went for a super great price and I haven't seen it for that low again in the wine colourway and this cut. 

3. Juliette et Justine - Travelogue De Die Sterntaler

I didn't know that it was being rereleased and only found out after people started getting their dresses in the mail. I didn't follow brand releases very closely in 2014, and have sort of dropped off this year as well!

4. Innocent World - Three Archangels Square Neck JSK in navy

I used to be an avid collector of stained glass prints, and still have most of collection, but this is the only IW stained glass print that I'm yet to obtain. I'm holding out for the square neck cut in navy, which I've only ever seen come up once on Y!J (could be others that I didn't see, but I regret not bidding on it that time). I was convinced it would come up again later for cheaper... nope!

5. Innocent World - A Maiden's Prayer on a Starry Sky High Waist JSK in navy

I passed on this because the seller on Y!J didn't accept bids from shopping services (they actively went and cancelled bids) and I had an open order with FJ at the time and didn't want to get another shopping service. I'm pretty sure the high waist cut would look terrible on me but I can't seem to get this dress out of my head, since that was also the only time I've seen it for sale  in this cut and colourway! It went for something ridiculously cheap, like 12k yen :')

These are my many regrets for things that I could've bought but didn't! There are many more smaller things, but I guess looking back at this list, none of these are things that I desperately need now.. so I guess it's fine! I ended up getting the Little Prince Tiny Horoscope dress in the other cut and think it sits nicer on me than what the Rose cut would (since the Rose has a higher waist). All in all, I'm really grateful that I've been able to buy what I wanted when I wanted it most of the time :)

LBC: Create a Coord Based Around a Tea Cup

I love this week's theme!

I own this cherry tea set from Angelic Pretty's 2016 Brilliant Night Party, and it's the most adorable tea set that I've seen a brand come out with so far (I may be biased). I'm not sure that the print on the set is based off any one of AP's prints, they're just generic AP cherries haha!

I don't own any of AP's cherry prints, though I've wanted Drained Cherry for quite a long time! I can't quite decide which colourway or cut I want, and have an internal battle with myself every time I see it come up for cheap xD


Today's coord is based around AP's Cherry Marguerite JSK in red, however all the accessories are from taobao!

Blouse - I really like the lace on the sleeves and collar, which would suit most sweet JSKs
Tights - it's quite hard to find cherry tights on taobao, but you could go for plain ones too!
Bag - this is almost a replica of BtssB's Cherry Bag, but there are a few differences in the fixings and shape
Hat - I like how it has both strawberries and cherries on, so it matches with most summery prints (it also has daisies, added bonus for Cherry Marguerite)
Wrist cuffs - the gingham reminds me of picnics
Clip - you could clip these on the collar of your blouse, or in your hair if you do pigtails / braids!

A lot of the items are very versatile, and would go with many cherry or strawberry prints!

Make A Coord for Under $100 - Round 2

First post after 2 years of inactivity!

I was going through some of my things the other day and was reminded that I did the $100 coord challenge a few years back and how fun it was, so I really wanted to do another one

There are so many interesting lolita pieces to be acquired from Taobao now, and the value for money is always great. So I've dived into that once again

At the time of writing, $100usd is equal to approximately 660cny (Chinese yuan), so that will be our budget for this coord. We are not including shipping or service fees, so please keep those in mind when you're shopping (´･o･)

• Lace short sleeve pullover - orig 155cny, discounted to 62cny
  This would be great with any JSK in summer, and I especially like wearing these tops as they're extra comfortable

• Shoes - orig 299cny, discounted to 149cny
  I like how versatile these are, you can wear them in so many different ways

• Printed tights - 39cny for 120 denier (costs up to 59cny if buying thicker material)
  I'd normally go with these wine ones for this coord, but you could very easily go for black x gold as well!

• Printed JSK - 268cny
  The print looks vibrant, but also has lots of different motifs, perfect if you wear a variety of styles

• Head bow - orig 78cny, discounted to 48cny
  Matching set with the JSK

The total of the above adds up to 596cny which is under budget, and you can add in the extra bits below if they're within your budget!

• Wrist cuffs - 79cny

• Rose hair accessory - 68cny
  Not necessary to the coord, but I love how it looks
